Castle High School Local Scholarships

NCWIT Award for Aspirations in Computing (AiC) - Prizes vary- The NCWIT Award for Aspirations in Computing (AiC) honors high school women who are active and interested in computing and technology, and encourages them to pursue their passions. The multi-tiered structure includes recognition at the national and local levels, serving all 50 States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, and all U.S. overseas military bases. Any U.S. high school woman in grades 9 through 12 is eligible to apply, if she also meets all of the following criteria: •She attends a high school in the U.S. or is a U.S. citizen attending a high school in Puerto Rico, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, or on a U.S. military base. •She has a U.S. Tax Identification or Social Security Number. •She is not an NCWIT employee and has no immediate family relationship with employees, extended staff, contractors or board members of NCWIT (including spouses, siblings, children, grandchildren and persons residing in the same household). Prudential Spirit of the Community Award - $1,000 Any student who has participated in community service at least in part after September 1, 2015 is able to apply to become one of Castle High School's nominees. After November 8, CHS will consider applications to select our school's nominees. November 08, 2016

Tri Kappa Scholarship - $1,000 Applicants must be a U. S. citizen and a resident of Indiana (male or female) currently attending an Evansville area high school and planning to pursue post-secondary education. December 15, 2016

Cyberbullying Prevention for Teens Scholarship - $1,000 Applicant must be high school student. Applicant must write an article of 600-1000 words on the topic “Why is it important to stop cyberbullying?" February 28, 2017
