Smiles for Steph - $1,000 Applicants for this award must be high school seniors enrolled in Castle High School. Evaluation of applicants will be based on financial need, academic achievement, community service, school involvement, and future aspirations. Evansville Home Economists - $250 per year Each year the Evansville Home Economists presents scholarships to outstanding senior students from area high schools that plan a career in the field of Home Economics/Family and Consumer Science. This year we plan to award two scholarships, one to a student pursuing a four-year bachelor's degree, and one to a student pursuing a two-year associate degree. Indiana Mining & Technical Society - $1,000 The Indiana Mining & Technical Society will be awarding a minimum of five $1,000 scholarships to help graduating seniors further their education at an accredited two or four-year College, university or vocational school. The scholarship will be for one year. The applicant must be from a coal producing county, have an interest in pursuing a career in a mining related field, be from a mining family or be from an IMTS member's family. The applicant must have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have contributed some kind of service to the school or community. Justin Yates Memorial Peer Tutor Scholarship - unspecified This scholarship is open to any senior male or female student who has completed at least one year of peer tutoring with the Life Skills class at Castle High School.
