St. John the Baptist Men's Club Service Scholarship - $750 The Men’s Club Service Scholarship is our way of helping young people in our parish reach their goals, and achieve their dreams. Our scholarship is service-oriented and many of the questions deal with your involvement in the parish and the community. The idea of service to others is what we as members of this organization strive to accomplish each and every day. Two Scholarships will be awarded, both for $750 All applications must be turned in to the parish office no later than May 20, 2015. Winners will be named by June 12, 2015. May 20, 2015

Southwestern Indiana Daylily Society Scholarship - $1000 Southwestern Indiana Daylily Society ("SWIDS") will award one (1) $1,000 college scholarship on a competitive basis to a Spring 2015 high school graduate ("student") chosen by SWIDS based on application information submitted to SWIDS by May 22, 2015. The applicant must be pursuing a degree/major in horticulture, agriculture or a related field. This scholarship will be paid for the Spring 2016 semester and will be remitted directly to the college/university. If, in the sole discretion of SWIDS, no applicant is deemed to be eligible or to merit the scholarship, then no scholarship will be awarded for the 2015-16 year. Aspiring Fashion Professional Scholarship - $1,000 This scholarship will be awarded to a student interested in pursuing a fashion degree at a postsecondary institution. June 01, 2015

Aspiring Animation Professional Scholarship - $1,000 This scholarship will be awarded to a student who is interested in pursuing an animation career path at an accredited postsecondary institution. June 01, 2015

Athnet Sports Recruiting Scholarship - $1,000 Write a 400-500 word essay describing how the lessons you have learned through playing sports have positively impacted you as you pursue your college education. June 01, 2015

2015 Charlie Hodges Memorial Scholarship - Unspecified amount. Eligibility requirements: Must have been or currently be an Evansville Junior Golf Member. Must be a college or university bound freshman. Submit a 500 word essay. Submit an official high school transcript. Committee may contact you about your FAFSA information. 2015 Aspiring Nurse Scholarship - $1,000 Nursing Schools Almanac has just launched its inaugural 2015 Aspiring Nurse Scholarship. The scholarship will be awarded to an aspiring nurse who best demonstrates: A track record of academic excellence, particularly in science and mathematics, A passion for the nursing profession and the overall field of healthcare. This scholarship competition is open to all high school seniors who plan to pursue college education in nursing, including LPN / LVN, ADN, and BSN programs. Athletic Sports Scholarship Essay Contest - $1,000 Current or former student-athletes are eligible to apply, even if they do not plan to play sports in college. Students will be asked to write an essay about a time you were the leader in an important moment on the field or in your community. Describe what you did and what you learned from that experience. The essay needs to be written in 1,000 words or less. July 01, 2015

Minority Teacher Scholarship Program - Unspecified An individual is eligible for this Scholarship, if the individual: a minority student (defined as Black or Hispanic); admitted or already attends an eligible Indiana institution as a full-time student; 3.intends to pursue or is pursuing a course of study that would enable the student, upon graduation, to teach in an accredited school in Indiana; 4.agrees in writing to apply for a teaching position in an accredited school in Indiana following that student's certification as a teacher and, if hired, to teach for at least three years; and 5.meets other minimum criteria established by the Commission for Higher Education You can visit the Indiana Commission for Higher Educations's website for more information and to apply.
