NCWIT Award for Aspirations in Computing - $500 •Applicants must be high-school girls (grades 9-12) •Applicants must reside in the United States of America or on a US Military Base. •Applicants should have a demonstrated, outstanding aptitude and interest in IT/computing. •Applicants should have demonstrated leadership ability. •Applicants should have good academic history, typically a GPA of 3.0 or better. •Applicants should have post-secondary education plans. •For tax purposes, each applicant must have a valid social security number or Tax ID number. •Past applicants including runners-up are encouraged to apply; however, previous National award-winners are not eligible to receive a second National Award. •Relatives of staff, employees or board members of NCWIT are prohibited from receiving the award. http://www.aspirations.org/participate/high-school October 31, 2014

VFW Voice of Democracy - Open to grades 9-12. Prizes and scholarships are awarded at the Post, district, state and national levels. State winners receive an all-expense paid trip to Washington DC to tour the city, be honored by the WFW and receive their portion of $152,000 in awards, with the top prize being $30,000. To enter, students must complete the official entry form and record an original essay (3-5 minutes max) on a standard cassette tape or an audio CD regarding the theme, "Why Veterans are Important to Our Nation's History and Future." Indiana Award for Aspirations in Computing - This award is to recognize young women for computer-related achievements and interests. Prudential Spirit of the Community Awards - Castle High School may nominate one student for this award, which recognizes students in grades 5-12 who make meaningful contributions to their communities through volunteer service. WKU Cherry Presidential Scholarship - Covers in-state tuition as well as allowances for on-campus housing, a meal plan, and books. Indiana State University Networks Scholars Program - Full-tuition Qualified students must be admitted as incoming freshmen to ISU with the plan to study business and pursue a career in the financial services industry (examples include financial planning, sales, marketing, financial . AXA Achievement Scholarships - $10,000 - $25,000 Applicants to the AXA Achievement Scholarship in association with U S News & World Report must be United States citizens or legal residents living or claiming residency in one of the 50 United States, District of Columbia or Puerto Rico; be current high school seniors who plan to enroll full-time in an accredited two-year or four-year college or university in the United States for the entire 2015-2016 academic year; demonstrate ambition and self-drive as evidenced by outstanding achievement in school, community or work-related activities. Special consideration will be given to achievements that empower society to mitigate risk through education and/or action in areas such as financial, environmental, health and/or emergency-preparedness. Only the first 100,000 applicants will be accepted. Knights of Pythias Visual Arts Contest - $1,000 Applicants must be seniors in high school and residents of Indiana who have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Students must also submit SAT or ACT results. University of Dayton Leadership in Service Scholarship - $2,500 per year for four years Qualified students have applied to the University of Dayton and have a desire for personal development and are committed to service wthin school, church, or community. Ball State Miller Business Scholarship - All application materials must be RECEIVED BY Jan. 31. Students must plan to study business and be one of the strongest business students at BSU.
