AES Engineering Scholarship - $500 Our belief is that achieving a high grade point average should not be the only criteria for determining who deserves to be helped. For that reason we are offering a scholarship that will be awarded on the basis of character, as determined by an evaluation of the essays that are submitted. Scholarships are intended for our future leaders across a wide spectrum of fields of study. This award is available to high school seniors and all students attending a post secondary educational facility. You are not required to be taking Engineering courses to be eligible. Gary E. May Peace Scholarship - $1,000 Veterans For Peace in Evansville encourages your high school's seniors to apply for the 2017 Gary E. May Peace Scholarship. This is a $1000 cash award for college-related expenses, and the student may use the funds in any way he or she chooses. October 15, 2017

NCWIT Aspirations in Computing Scholarship - Any U.S. woman in grades 9 through 12 is eligible to apply and will be considered for both the National and Affiliate Award, if she also meets all of the following criteria: She is 13 years of age or older at time of account creation. She is a U.S. citizen who attends school in the U.S. or is a U.S. citizen attending school in Puerto Rico, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, or on a U.S. overseas military base. She has a U.S. Tax Identification or Social Security Number. She is not an NCWIT employee and has no immediate family relationship with employees, extended staff, contractors or board members of NCWIT (including spouses, siblings, children, grandchildren, and persons residing in the same household). Next Generation Hoosier Educators Scholarship - $7,500 / year (four years) PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS Must be an Indiana resident Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen Must be a current high school senior or college student in Indiana Must have graduated or will graduate from an Indiana accredited high school or non-accredited nonpublic high school Must be able to utilize the scholarship for at least two full academic years (effective for Fall 2017-2018 applicants) Must rank in the top 20% of high school graduating class or have a top 20% ACT or SAT score Must currently attend or plan to attend an eligible Indiana institution as a full-time student In some cases, degree-seeking students may use the scholarship during the summer while enrolled part-time. Refer to the specific guidelines for using the scholarship during summer terms. Must pursue or intend to pursue a course of study that would enable the student to teach at eligible Indiana school after college graduation Must obtain a license to teach in Indiana and serve as a teacher in an eligible Indiana school for five consecutive years after college graduation Must maintain a 3.0/4.0 GPA, complete 30 credit hours per year or their equivalent and meet all other requirements established by their program to renew the scholarship Must file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Must not be in overpayment or default on a federal student loan or grant Must complete the service requirement or have all funds provided converted to a loan that must be repaid **Priority will be given to students graduating high school although current college students are eligible to apply.
