Levine Scholars Program at UNC Charlotte - Covers full tuition, room, board, mandatory fees, a new laptop, four summers of experiences to develop pre-professional expertise, leadership strengths, and social awareness as well as many other benefits. VFW Voice of Democracy - Open to grades 9-12. Prizes and scholarships are awarded at the Post, district, state and national levels. State winners receive an all-expense paid trip to Washington DC to tour the city, be honored by the WFW and receive their portion of $152,000 in awards, with the top prize being $30,000. To enter, students must complete the official entry form and record an original essay (3-5 minutes max) on a standard cassette tape or an audio CD regarding the theme, "Why Veterans are Important to Our Nation's History and Future."
