Beta Sigma Psi Scholarships - Applicants should be confirmed male members of a Lutheran congregation who are interested in living up to the ideals of being a Christian Gentleman. The Women's Club of Newburgh Scholarship - $1,000 The Women’s Club of Newburgh funds scholarships for area high school graduates seeking higher education. Three (3) $1,000 scholarships are given to students based on scholarship, leadership and community service. Scholarships are available to students living in Warrick County. Awards will be given to candidates exhibiting excellence in areas including academics, extracurricular participation, work experience, community involvement and character. An essay will be required with the application stating why the candidate believes he or she deserves this scholarship. March 03, 2017

ETFCU Ted Hitch Scholarship - $5,000 Either the applicant or the applicant's parents/guardians must have been members of ETFCU for at least one year by the March 3 scholarship application deadline. Use of services provided by ETFCU (ETFCU Financial Group and ET Shield) do not qualify as membership in the credit union. Applications will be accepted from graduating high school seniors planning to attend an accredited institution of higher learning as a full-time undergraduate student for at least the coming year. Applicants should have a minimum 3.75 GPA (without rounding up) on a 4.0 grading scale. Immediate relatives (children, stepchildren, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, brothers and sisters, and parents) of ETFCU officials, employees, and scholarship committee members are ineligible. Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Entry Level Nurse Scholarship Program - up to $15,000 The Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing Alumni offers scholarships up to $15,000 to be distributed to the most qualified applicants of direct descendants of graduates of the Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing in Evansville, Indiana. The scholarship has been established for the express purpose of providing assistance to a student pursuing education in order to obtain a license for Registered Nursing. March 10, 2017

Gill Orthodontics Scholarship Program - $1,000 Applicants must currently be in orthodontic treatment or have completed orthodontic treatment by Dr. James Gill, D.D.S. Applications will be accepted from graduating seniors planning to attend an institution of higher learning for at least on year. All applicants must have a GPA of at least a 2.5 to be considered. SFC Harry A. Payne (U.S. Army, Retired) Scholarship Award - $500 This SFC Harry A. Payne Scholarship, valued at $500, is a single (one-time) scholarship award to a graduating senior who is an active participant in the EVSC Army Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (AJROTC) - Eagle Battalion. The student may be enrolled in any of the Vanderburgh County high schools and Castle High School in Warrick County, Indiana. To qualify the applicant must have at least a 2.75 GPA and volunteer or participate in a minimum of ten (10) community service hours. In addition, the candidate must also have been involved in two (2) JROTC extracurricular activities. Along with the application, an essay (see details below) must be written and attached. Applicant must have confirmation of acceptance to a college, university or trade school in the United States. March 17, 2017

Logan's Promise Scholarship - $1,000 The students eligible for Scholarship must be a graduating full-time high school senior who attend Vanderburgh County, Warrick County, Posey County or Gibson County schools in the State of Indiana or Henderson County in the State of Kentucky. Applicants must be planning to enter an accredited college or university no later than the fall following graduation. Applicants must have a strong commitment to not “drinking & driving” and knowledge of Logan’s Promise; involvement in the community, active volunteer and/or charity work; demonstrate academic achievement with a minimum grade point average of 3.0; at least 3 references; gross income per family is preferred; must be able to interview and a United States citizen. Applicants must fill out an application and complete an essay on Logan’s Promise and how it influences your choices in life. Applicants are expected to complete 15 hours minimum of Logan’s Promise volunteer time and attend one of the counties specified. Scholarship March 19, 2017

Betty Craig Memorial Scholarship - Scholarships are offered to high school seniors who reside in our community. These scholarships are offered to students seeking full-time education in a four year college or university. Awards are based on merit and need. Merit is the relative degree of motivation displayed in such matters as overall academic performance, involvement with and contributions to school and community organizations, and earning and saving money for his/her education. Need is the relative inability of the student to meet the cost of his/her post-secondary education. March 24, 2017

American Society for Quality Evansville-Owensboro Section - $500 Recipient must be a graduate during the application year from a home school, an accredited high school or learning facility within the geographic area served by ASQ Evansville-Owensboro Section 0915 (See table on next page), or either of whose parents are members of the ASQ Evansville-Owensboro Section 0915. The scholarship will be awarded to the person selected by the Selection Committee, independent of any connection with ASQ membership (you or your family member(s) do not have to be a member of ASQ to be awarded). To receive the scholarship amount, the recipient must be admitted to or enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student to an accredited college / university, with an established student account. Fabulous After Thirty Evansville - $500 Fabulous After Thirty Evansville will offer its Fourth Annual Scholarship in the Spring of 2017 in the amount of two $500.00 scholarships. These Scholarship are open to all High School Seniors in Warrick and Vanderburgh County. Scholarships are designated to one male and one female student. All applicants must plan to pursue higher education at an institution leading to a degree. Applicants must meet the following criteria. • Be a Senior in High School • Have a overall G.P.A. of 2.7 or higher • Have completed at least 30 hours of documented community service • Complete an additional 5 community service hours with FATE (This will be scheduled by FATE and will take place after your application has been submitted) • Submit an essay as to why you should be awarded this scholarship. Also include your plans of giving back to the community while you are in college as well as when you graduate from college. April 01, 2017

Smiles for Steph - $1,000 This $1000 scholarship has been established to aid in furthering the education of a young person who intends to pursue a career that involves helping others. • Applicants for this award must be high school seniors enrolled in Castle High School. • Evaluation of applicants will be based on financial need, academic achievement, community service, school involvement, and future aspirations. Evaluation will be done by a panel created by the Smiles forSteph organization members. Scholarship applicants: the application is a fillable pdf. You will want to download and open on your computer with whatever pdf software you prefer. We find that Chrome works well when downloading. Print to pdf is the easiest way to save your file once you are done. If this doesn't work, the document can be edited in Word as well. Don't worry if the formatting looks a little off.
