PTO Committee Opportunities

PTO (Parent-Teacher Organization) is a group of concerned parents, teachers, and staff who work together to support John H. Castle Elementary school for the benefit of our children. During the year, PTO sponsors various activities such as two classroom parties, 5th grade field day, 5th grade awards, DARE program, a student directory, plus many more. Your membership dues of $5.00 help pay for these activities. We are also responsible for all volunteer help at school such as the Spirit Store, Room Parents, Library, Popcorn, and much more.

PTO Objectives:

  • To promote the welfare of John H. Castle Elementary School and the students enrolled therein.
  • To encourage communication between the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the training of the child.
  • To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts that will secure for every child the highest advantages in physical, mental, social, and spiritual education in the home, the school, the church, and the community.

Our PTO is a busy organization and we always need and welcome new ideas, suggestions, help, and support.
