Summer Musical - Big Fish

Warrick County Presents "Big Fish" at Castle High School
July 20-23
Tickets can be purchased at starting June 21st

Based on the celebrated novel by Daniel Wallace and the acclaimed film directed by Tim Burton, BIG FISH centers on Edward Bloom, a traveling salesman who lives life to its fullest… and then some! Edward’s incredible, larger-than-life stories thrill everyone around him – most of all, his devoted wife Sandra. But their son Will, about to have a child of his own, is determined to find the truth behind his father’s epic tales. Overflowing with heart, humor and spectacular stagecraft, BIG FISH is an extraordinary new Broadway musical that reminds us why we love going to the theatre – for an experience that’s richer, funnier and BIGGER than life itself.

Summer Feeding Program

The Warrick County School Corporation Food & Nutrition Department will be participating in the Summer Food Service Program which is funded by the USDA. This program allows us to provide free breakfast and lunch during the summer months when school is not in session to anyone age 18 and younger at areas in the district in which the student population is at least 50% free or reduced. This year we will have three summer feeding sites.  Click here for more informaiton

School Bus Drivers needed

I would like to let everyone know of our severe shortage of school bus drivers.  We have been able to cover all of our routes up to this point; however we have had to double up some of our runs.

We are searching for interested parties in becoming school bus drivers.  We will provide the needed training required to become a driver at no charge to you other than the cost of the license itself, which is $30.00.

Starting pay for a sub bus driver is $63.80/day and after 14 consecutive days jumps to standard pay of $72.28/day.  This is for a typical morning and afternoon run consisting of 3-4 hours per day.

This is a great opportunity to learn a skill that can create you a supplemental income and still be off when the kids are not in school.  We will be scheduling classes soon.  All classes will start at 9:00 am at the Transportation Garage located at 3455 S. Yankeetown Rd.  It typically takes 4 weeks of training before you test in Vincennes.  You will test on the same vehicle you train in, making it less confusing for you.   There will be some additional training needed after passing the skills test, however that can be worked in around your required driving and observing hours behind the wheel.   Any questions feel free to give us a call.  Our number is 812-897-0495 and you may apply online for the sub-bus driver position.

Thanks for your consideration,

R. Guy Gentry
Manager of Transportation
